Deaf Art

The term Deaf Art transits between artists, scholars, militants, deaf and hearing people, with different meanings, and its definition is still inaccurate.

Between these many views and perspectives, the reflections on the theme can contribute to promote, consolidate and publicize this “new” field of aestetic experimentations.

In order to contribute to provide visibility to the brazilian deaf comunities, since “Deaf Culture” is one of the main pillars of the struggle for rights of those minority groups – and Deaf Art, in all of its transformative power, is an importante vector in this historical process, Billy Saga presents his artistic experiences in the field.
